 Need some artistic advice.
« Thread Started on Oct 23, 2007, 1:56pm »

Lately I've come up with a new otter character, though I don't generally plan to have him for the world of Redwall. I won't delve too much into the details about him right now though.

Currently I'm still designing his character and I would appreciate a bit of help from all of you. I've made several concepts for his head and have numbered the ones I feel might suit him the best, though I'm leaning more toward the latter ones. If you could give your own personal imput on which one you like the most I would appreciate it. Whichever one I end up picking I will fine tune, just to let you know. These were just some quick character designs I drew up.

One again I thank you for your imput and comments.

I like #5, and I think it shows the most promise. But that's just me. :D What type of advice are you looking for?

Its not really advice I was looking for, mostly just opinion on which design I should use. I've been leaning toward #5 myself lately, though I feel that I should probably make the forehead a little more bigger. Thanks for your imput Star, I appreciate it.

Yep, number five is what I would say is the best.

Something about the ear gets me, I think you need to make it rounder or something like that, but hey, I'm hopeless at art, so what do I know?

I agree with you there, Ashstripe, though I don't find it easy to do at that angle. If I pick number 5 (And I strongly beleive that I will) I will see if I cant find a more ottery ear for him.

Thanks Ashtripe. I appreciate your two cents.

Heh, side-on views are just plain evil in my opinion, thankfully they don't have to be utilized much. I mean look at my avatar, for a quick scribble it still caused a bit of a headache(I ended up using a bit of a reference..Bleh!)

No worries Talrad ;D.
