It was a cold windy autumn night at the abbey but Angora paid no heed to it. She did her best to will away the urge to shiver from the growing chill in her bones as she stared along the north road from the ramparts as far as her eyes could see.
She missed her infant son so deeply that she had lost her cheerful and friendly personality. On top of that, she rarely ever smiled, and when she did it was always a forced one.
Being a mother had become one of her greatest joys in life, but when the vermin came, diguised as entertainers and took away her son, they had also taken this joy from her.
And so she stood, in her vigil of sorrow, upon the ramparts of the abbey gate. Waiting and hoping for her son to return.
